Police make arrest as electricity suppliers SSE find two cannabis farms on east Leeds street

Two cannabis farms have been discovered on a street in east Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police assisted an investigation led by electricity suppliers SSE on Friday.

SSE's Metering Limited Revenue Protection Unit was joined by officers from the East Leeds Neighborhood Policing Team.

They executed two warrants and searched properties in Compton View, Harehills.

Cannabis farms were found at both properties and one person was arrested.

Enquiries are ongoing.
