"The thieves burnt a hole in the side door of the house enabling them to reach in and unlock the door with the keys which were in the inside of the lock. Once inside the property they removed the car keys and made off with the Audi. The home owners were working from home - upstairs- at the time of the burglary and never saw or heard anything.

"Please be aware that leaving your keys in the lock is tempting to some thieves. Always lock your door during the day, even when you are in, and remove the keys from the lock and place them safely out of view."
