The suspect then grabbed the woman who told him to let her go as she persisted to get away.

He grabbed onto her holding her tighter and said: “You’re beautiful come with me.”

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I really wanted to run but he was kind of hugging me. After I insisted and raised my voice, he finally stopped holding onto me.

“I just had to become a bit more aggressive because he was holding me so I said to ‘Stop and leave me alone’ much more seriously and louder.”

The man was described as Asian male, 5ft2ins to 5ft 7ins of a slim build. He was also wearing an orange/yellow coat with a hood attached.

The woman didn’t notice anyone else around at the time of the incident and has never experienced anything like that before.

She added: “The fact that this happened during the day when people are usually around makes me think that people don’t even care about the conditions, which is scary.

“I will definitely be more aware next time of my surroundings and make sure not to talk to strangers, as well as try to walk with someone else just in case.”
