Police investigate Leeds nurse after patient makes sexual assault allegation

A community mental health nurse has been suspended after a patient in Leeds made an allegation of sexual assault.

The nurse, who is employed by the Leeds and Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, is under investigation by West Yorkshire Police.

It follows a complaint by a male patient on January 31.

Anthony Deery, director of nursing at the trust, said: “We are currently working with West Yorkshire Police over allegations made by a service user against one of our staff.
