Police hunt for suspects after badger's den is dug up and set on fire in Kippax

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a badger's den was set on fire in Leeds.

Wildlife and rural crime officers said that the offence had occurred 'sometime in the last week'.

The 'unknown suspects' dug out the badger sett and set a fire there.

Police are not disclosing the sett location but have said it happened in the Kippax area of Leeds.

The crime number is 1310181538 and anyone with any information about this or similar crimes is asked to get in touch with the wildlife officers or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.

The officers revealed what had happened in social media in a post that said: "Sometime in the last week in the Kippax area unknown suspects have dug out a badger sett and set a fire.

"Crime number 1310181538

"As always we will not disclose the sett location.

"Anyone with any information about this or similar crimes please get in touch or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."
