Police hunt for suspect after man is assaulted and robbed of cash on Leeds city centre bus

Police have released images of a man they want to identify in connection with an assault and a robbery in Leeds city centre.

A 26-year-old man was assaulted in Albion Street and followed onto a bus before being robbed of cash on Tuesday, April 20.

The incident happened at around 9.15pm.

Police have released CCTV images of a suspect and are asking anyone who recognises him or has any information to contact Leeds District Team on 101 quoting crime reference 13210195096.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police have released CCTV images of a male they want to identify over a robbery in Leeds.

"The victim, a 26-year-old man, was assaulted by the male in Albion Street in the city centre and pursued onto a bus before being robbed of cash.

"The incident happened at about 9.15pm on Tuesday, April 20.

"Anyone who recognises the suspect or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District Team via 101 quoting crime reference 13210195096 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat"
