Police helicopter called to Cross Green as driver arrested following chase through Leeds

A driver has been arrested following a police chase through Leeds.

A silver Volkswagen Golf failed to stop for police on Hunslet Road at 11.50am on Friday.

The car was chased through Cross Green by specialist roads policing officers.

The National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter was called to the area to support officers chasing the car.

After a 10 minute pursuit, the Golf was stopped by police in Pontefract Lane, Knowsthorpe.

The driver was arrested and taken into custody.
