Police hand out penalties outside Leeds primary school due to dangerous parking
Police have handed out penalties outside a Leeds primary school on Monday morning due to dangerous parking on the road.
This morning, Outer North West NPT Team One attended a complaint regarding parked vehicles blocking the footpath on the busy road towards Hawksworth Primary School.
Parents with children in prams were forced into the narrow road at a peak time of day, police said.
Police handed out two fixed penalty notices to offenders.
Further patrols in the area will now follow after the complaint, police added.
In a Facebook post, the team said: "The potential dangers of this don't need spelling out.
"Please consider where YOU leave YOUR vehicle and if your parking is likely to cause a hazard to anyone else.
"2 Fixed Penalty Notices were issued today with further patrols to follow."
