Police find machete and cannabis farm while investigating drug dealing in south Leeds

Police have uncovered a cannabis farm and dangerous weapons in Leeds.

Officers from the South Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team were investigating drug dealing in and around Garnet Terrace in Hunslet this week.

They discovered a knife, a machete and a small cannabis farm.

West Yorkshire Police Inspector Lucy Leadbeater tweeted a picture of the find on Thursday and praised officers for taking the weapons off the streets of Leeds.

She said: "Officers have been investigating drug dealing in and around Garnet Terrace.

"As part of their enquiries they have located a knife, a machete and a small cannabis farm.

"Our investigations are ongoing but good work getting these weapons off the streets."
