Police find body of man in woods in Pudsey close to Ring Road

The body of a man believed to be aged in his late 20s to early 30s was discovered by a man at about 10am on Sunday morning.

Police were called at 10.17am to reports of a body of a man found in the area near to the Ring Road, in woods close to the Hillfoot Drive area. The location was described by police as Owlcotes woods, just off the Ring Road.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police confirmed that the body has been found, but the man has not yet been identified and enquiries are ongoing.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

He said: "Police were called at 10.17am to reports of a body.

"The man is believed to be aged in his late 20s to early 30s."The man is yet to be identified but enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances and the identify of the body in order to contact next of kin.

"The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.

"A police cordon remains in place while investigations are carried out."
