Police cordon at Meanwood Aldi after domestic-related sexual assault

A police cordon is in place outside of the Aldi store in Meanwood after an incident overnight.

Officers are investigating a potential domestic-related sexual assault on a woman, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

The cordon is place around the cash machine in Northside Retail Park, in the centre of Meanwood.

The incident was reported at 12.40am today (Wednesday).

A man has been arrested and enquiries by Leeds District Safeguarding Unit are ongoing.

A police spokesman said: 2There is currently a scene in place at Northside Retail Park, in Meanwood, in relation to a potential domestic-related sexual assault on a woman that was reported at 12.40am this morning.

"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing by Leeds District Safeguarding Unit."
