Police in Harehills have issued a warning about taxing and insuring cars after recovering 'a number of abandoned vehicles'.

Police from the East Leeds Neighbourhood Policing Team say they have recently seized and impounded several cars in Harehills, Leeds.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Officers from East Leeds NPT have recently recovered a number of abandoned vehicles in the Harehills area of Leeds.

"Please ensure your vehicles are: #Taxed #Insured #Secure Vehicles will be recovered from the area if they are uninsured, untaxed and on a public highway."
