Police catch speeding drivers after setting up cameras in this north east Leeds street

Police have caught a number of speeding drivers after setting up cameras in north east Leeds.

Officers from the Leeds North East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have been carrying out daily patrols on Scott Hall Road.

They were recently joined by the Safer Roads team, a partnership between Leeds City Council and emergency services to crack down on dangerous driving.

Officers stopped six drivers who were reported for speeding.

Two vehicles were seized for having no insurance.

In a statement issued on Facebook, the Leeds North East NPT said: "Leeds North East NPT continue to work with colleagues from Safer Roads.

"We were recently on Scott Hall Road and stopped six drivers for speeding.

"We also seized two vehicles for no insurance.

"We continue to patrol the area on a daily basis."
