Police called to Allerton Bywater after man and woman assaulted

A woman was treated for injuries after being assaulted in the street in Allerton Bywater.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Leeds Road at 7.20pm on Saturday.

A 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman had been assaulted.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service were also called and the woman was treated for her injuries at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incident, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.
