Police were called to the Leeds Markets car park after concerns were raised for the safety of a woman.

An alarm was raised at 4.05pm at the NCP car park on York Street.

York Street was closed in both directions and pedestrians were stopped from passing the area in front of the car park.

The road reopened at 6.30pm and Leeds Council's travel information service reported that the incident had been cleared.
