Emergency services were called to Morrisons petrol station on Swinnow Road, Leeds at about 3.12pm today to a report a man was present with a leg injury.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had suffered a leg wound.

Police said the wound was 'potentially caused by a bladed weapon'.

A cordon was placed at the rear of the car park next to the busy supermarket.

An officer guarded the cordon and at least one vehicle was at the scene on Thursday afternoon (February 18).

The shop appeared to remain open this afternoon while police conducted their enquiries.

The man is receiving treatment and initial enquiries into what took place are underway by Leeds District CID, police confirmed.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to a petrol station on Swinnow Road, Leeds at about 3.12pm today to a report a male was present with a leg injury.

"Police attended and located a male who had suffered a leg wound, potentially caused by a bladed weapon.

"The male is receiving treatment and initial enquiries into what took place are underway by Leeds District CID."
