Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car near roadworks in Leeds.

It happened back in December on Chapeltown Road, near the junction to Grange Terrace.

A man was crossing the road near roadworks on December 19, at 4.25pm, when he was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla.

The man suffered serious leg injuries in the crash.

The car was travelling soutbound towards Leeds and police are looking to speak to anyone who may have seen the car before the crash.
