Person dies after being hit by train at Bramley station

British Transport Police officers and paramedics attended the station at 5.20pm on Sunday (February 21) after reports of a casualty on the tracks.

A person was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Bramley station at 5.20pm on 21 February following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
