Nine now arrested over suspected murder of man in Wakefield

A 40-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man from Wakefield were taken into custody on Tuesday night following the death of 58-year-old Kevin Childs.

Mr Childs died at a flat on Park Lodge Lane, Eastmoor, on Friday, February 7. A week later, after a post mortem examination was carried, detectives launched a murder investigation.

The latest arrests bring to nine the total number of people questioned so far.

A 41-year-old man from Wakefield and a 25-year-old woman from Featherstone, who were arrested on Tuesday, are still in custody.

Five others have been released on bail.
