7. Pablo Hernandez
Hernandez was jailed after he went on a violent spree, stabbing a taxi driver and stealing his car before mowing down pedestrians in Leeds city centre. Th 22-yearold then tied to steal another cab and attacked bystanders. Hernandez, of Tall Trees, Moortown, later pleaded guilty to Section 18 wounding with intent, two counts of Section 47 assault, theft of a vehicle, possession of a bladed article, dangerous driving, attempted robbery of the second taxi and two counts of criminal damage. 8. Abbass Arif
Former finance worker and Leeds university student Abbiss Arif was jailed after he was caught selling cocaine, ketamine and cannabis. The 32-year-old of Harehills Lane, Harehills began dealing after losing his job. Admitting dealing, Judge Tahir Khan KC told him: “You had a good job but you threw it all away by becoming involved in drug supply." Photo: WYP

9. Teenage killer
A boy who was involved in the senseless killing of a dad-of-two almost four years ago has been given a new jail sentence for violent attacks in jail. He was just 13 when he took part in the killing of Steven McMyler in August 2020, when a gang set upon him in a churchyard to steal his valuable Rolex watch. The boy was given six years' detention for manslaughter. However, now 17 , he was sentenced this week for recent attacks on inmates and staff at YOI Wetherby. He stabbed an officer with a homemade knife and threw a kettle of boiling water over another three officers in a separate offence. 10. Caden Crossley
“Utterly despicable” Caden Crossley from Leeds crept into bed with a teenage girl and raped her after her family let him in to their Center Parcs lodge in Nottinghamshire. Crossley, 29, was on holiday at Sherwood Forest with his partner when the assault happened in June 2022. After rowing with his partner, Crossley sought sanctuary in a neighbouring lodge after previously getting to know the occupants. Crossley denied having any sexual contact with his victim even when confronted with damning DNA evidence that proved he was lying. He was given a 12-year extended sentence.
