A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police told the YEP: "At about 10am, police carried out a search warrant at Borrowdale Close.

"During the search, officers found an unidentified item.

"The military AOD squad were called out to ensure the item was safely dealt with.

"They confirmed that the item was a legitimate firework device, it was lawfully owned by the occupant and was unrelated to the investigation.

"We evacuated residents for a short period of time until the device was made safe."
