A driver had his car seized by police just one month after passing his driving test.

West Yorkshire Police spotted the driver while patrolling in Middleton, Leeds.

After stopping the VW Golf, they found that the driver had no insurance and no MOT.

His car was seized and he was reported to court.

Local officers from the Leeds South team said: "This evening your local officers have been on patrol in Middleton when they stopped the attached VW Golf.

"The driver had no insurance and no MOT.

"He had only passed his driving licence in October 2020.

"His vehicle was seized and he was reported to court."
