Methley police incident: Man in hospital after being found injured near road

A man is in hospital after having been found with injuries near a road in Leeds.

Police were called to Savile Road in the Methley area of Leeds at around 12pm today (Sunday).

An injured man was found located on or near the road.

Officers believe this to be a vehicle-related incident.

The man is being treated in hospital and the nature of his injuries are yet to be confirmed.

This investigation is ongoing by officers from the Leeds CID department.

A police cordon was put in place in the area.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are investigating after an injured adult male was located on or near the road in Savile Road at around 12pm today.

"It is believed to have been a vehicle-related incident.

"The man is being treated in hospital and the nature of his injuries are yet to be confirmed.

"The investigation is ongoing via the Leeds CID department."
