Men flee from stolen car after crashing into bus during police chase in Holbeck

The incident began at about 3.30pm on Monday, June 7 when a silver Mercedes car, which was reported as stolen, did not stop for police.

It then drove off from officers.

Two minutes later it crashed into a bus and barrier on Top Moor Side.

A group of white men fled from the car on floor.

A woman was taken to hospital for a arm injury.

The car was recovered from the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.

"Enquiries are ongoing this evening following a fail to stop collision in Leeds.

"The incident began at about 3.31pm after a silver Mercedes car, which was reported as stolen, failed to stop when requested and made off from police.

"It came to stop two minutes later on Top Moor Side after colliding with a bus and a barrier.

"A group of white males inside the car fled the scene on foot.

"A woman attended hospital for a precautionary check to an arm injury, but ambulance services were not required on scene.

"Recovery was arranged for the crashed car and enquires into the incident remain ongoing.

"Anyone who saw what happened or who saw the suspects flee the vehicle is asked to contact the Eastern area roads policing unit on 101 referencing log number 1083 of June 7."
