Man wanted by police in connection with Leeds city centre street robberies

Police are searching for a man in connection with a series of street robberies in Leeds city centre.

Officers from Leeds District Crime Team are wanting to trace the man over incidents that happened in Merrion Street in Leeds on December 29 last year.

Detectives have now released CCTV images of the suspect.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact DC 872 Machell at Leeds District Crime Team on 0113 385 9493 or via 101 quoting crime reference 13200647690.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Detectives have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify in connection with a series of street robberies in Leeds city centre.

"Officers from Leeds District Crime Team want to trace the man over the incidents in Merrion Street on December 29 last year.

"Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact DC 872 Machell at Leeds District Crime Team on 0113 385 9493 or via 101 quoting crime reference 13200647690 or online via www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat
