A man was taken to hospital after crashing into a billboard on Stanningley Road in Leeds.

It happened at about 8.30pm yesterday, when officers came across the incident in Bramley.

A silver Peugeot 206 had left the carriageway and crashed with a billboard near to the junction with Station Mount.

The driver, a 51-year-old man, was extricated by firefighters.

A man was taken to hospital after crashing into a billboard on Stanningley Road in Leeds.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries.

His injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

A scene was in place while the vehicle was removed and the billboard made safe.

Two fire crews from Stanningley and Leeds attended.
