Man sexually assaulted woman after pinning her against wall, telling her: 'Shut up and do as I say'
Pervert forcefully kissed victim and groped her
A man who grabbed a woman and pinned her against the wall was found guilty of sexual assault.
Basam Shokr attacked the woman, kissing and touching her. She later told Leeds Crown Court she was left “broken” by the assault.
Shokr, 22, was handed a community order, having already spent almost eight months held on remand.
He appeared in court over a video link from HMP Leeds.

Prosecutor Felicity Helmin said the incident happened in 2023.
Shokr, who was 19 at the time, struck up a conversation with the woman. He told her he was from Egypt, was a student but wanted to work to earn money.
He then cornered her and pinned up against the wall and started to kiss her forcefully telling her to “shut up” and do as he said.
He groped her before she was able to wriggle free.
Shokr, of Temple View Place, Burmantofts, denied wrongdoing. He has no previous convictions but he was convicted by a jury after his trial in April.
Reading out her own impact statement to the court, the woman said: “It lives with me every single day.
“It has affected my sleep and confidence.”
Mitigating, Glenn Parsons said Shokr remembered little of the assaults because he had been self-medicating with drugs at the time.
He pointed to his young age and his lack of previous convictions.
Judge Penelope Belcher referred to a probation report into Shokr and told him: “You have no real perception at all of the impact of your offending.”
She said that under the guidelines, a sentence of nine months’ jail would have been appropriate, but it would mean he would be freed because of time already served on remand.
He was given a 24-month community order, 25 rehabilitation days with probation and a six-month GPS monitoring.
He was also put on the sex offender register for five years.
