Man seriously injured after robbery in Torre Road Burmantofts

West Yorkshire Police are investigating after they received reports of a 28-year-old man being robbed in Torre Road.

It happened at 10.20pm yesterday (Friday).

The man was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police cordon has been in place around the area today as officers investigate.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police are investigating a report of a robbery which is believed to have occurred in Torre Road at about 10.20pm yesterday (Friday).

"A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

"Anyone with information which may assist is asked to contact Leeds District CID on 101 or use the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.

"Officers would be keen to speak to anyone with dash cam footage who may have been passing through the area at the time.

"The crime reference is 13200607699.

"Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers."
