A man has been identified following a CCTV appeal issued by police.

Police released CCTV images of a man they wanted to speak to after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted in Leeds.

It happened at an address in Wellington Street in the early hours of Sunday, March 8, this year.

The appeal was issued on Friday, August 14.

On Monday, August 17 a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Detectives investigating an allegation of a serious sexual assault on a woman in Leeds have now identified a man they wanted to trace following a public appeal.

"The man is due to be interviewed in relation to an incident at an address in Wellington Street in the early hours of Sunday, March 8, this year.
