Man dead after collapsing outside Kirkstall Halfords store

The ambulance service attended to a man who had been found collapsed outside the store in Savins Mill Way in Kirkstall.

The police were contacted by the ambulance service at 5.20am and a police cordon was put in place.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no suspicious circumstances.

The manager of Halfords said that when he arrived at the store at 8am, the police were at the scene and had erected a forensics tent.

The store was not allowed to open until 11am.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 5.20am today (19/1), police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending an incident where a man had been found collapsed outside the Halfords store, in Savins Mill Way, Kirkstall.

"He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries have established there were no suspicious circumstances."
