Man carrying Samauri sword in North Leeds caught by West Yorkshire Police dog and firearms officers

A man carrying a Samauri sword in North Leeds was caught by firearms officers with the help of a West Yorkshire Police dog.

PD Shadow assisted the firearms team in dealing with the armed man on Sunday night.

The man was walking round North Leeds with a Samauri sword before he was caught by the pooch and specialist officers.

The police used their #onelessweapon hashtag on Twitter after they had dealt with him.

A tweet from the West Yorkshire Police dogs account said: "PD shadow assisted the firearms team last night deal with a male walking around North Leeds with a Samauri sword. #onelessweapon"
