Police were called by the ambulance service at around 9.30pm on Sunday, February 14 to reports of the assault near to Swinnow Lane in Pudsey.

A man has been arrested in connection with the assault and enquiries are ongoing.

A police cordon was still in place this morning (Monday) and officers were seen to be guarding a scene on a grass area.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called by the ambulance service at 9.36pm yesterday, Sunday 14 February to reports of a serious sexual assault near to Swinnow Lane, Pudsey.

"A man has been arrested in connection with the offence and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone who has any information that will assist with the investigation, is asked to contact 101 or www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101LiveChat quoting reference 13210077716."
