Man and woman charged at Leeds Magistrates Court after gun fired at house in Beeston

Two people have been charged at Leeds Magistrates Court today after a gun was fired in Beeston.

The shot was fired at a house on Longroyd Crescent at about 11pm on Tuesday November 3, damaging the front of the property.

No one was injured.

Two days later, at 4.45pm on Thursday November 5, it was reported to the police.

Specialist detectives from West Yorkshire Police Firearms Investigation and Prevent Team launched an investigation into the incident, which included searching tents in Wellington Street under the A58 flyover on Saturday.

A man and a woman have appeared at court today charged in relation to the incident.

Junior Coley, aged 37, and Louise Garland, aged 44, both of no fixed address, are each charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence.

They were both remanded in custody pending a further hearing.
