Man and woman arrested after police pursuit of stolen vehicle across West Yorkshire

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit sighted a stolen vehicle in Sowerby Bridge where the vehicle failed to stop, police said.
The officers pursued the vehicle for a 'number of miles'.
The pursuit was ended when a stringer was used to deflate all four tyres of the car, police said.
The car was driven towards Halifax Town Centre.

Hide AdHowever it came to a stop due to the stinger and both the driver and occupant were arrested from the vehicle.
The pair remain in custody on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, police confirmed.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A male and a female have been arrested and remain in custody on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"Officers from the Roads Policing Unit sighted a stolen vehicle in Sowerby Bridge where the vehicle failed to stop.

"The vehicle continued to travel towards Halifax Town Centre before coming to a stop.
