Machete and baseball bat wielding thugs arrested after street brawl in Leeds

Three men have been arrested after a gang armed with machetes and baseball bats had a street brawl in Leeds.

Police were called to Queens Road in Hyde Park at about 10.45pm on Wednesday, June 3 to reports of men fighting.

There were reports of machetes and baseball bats being involved.

Armed officers were deployed to the scene along with conventional units.

Three men, aged 34, 36, and 39, were found to have been injured during the incident.

None had been stabbed.

They were taken to hospital for treatment.

They were subsequently arrested on suspicion of affray.

They are currently in custody.

Enquiries indicate those involved are known to each other and work is ongoing to trace the other suspects.
