Leeds woman shares warning over lower limit speed camera in roadworks zone

A Leeds woman has shared a warning to residents after a mobile speed camera was places on a road with a temporarily reduced speed limit due to roadworks.

York Road in Burmantofts has had a speed limit of 40mph on the road for 'years' according to a resident posting into Leeds Crime & Incidents Facebook group.

But the speed limit has been temporarily reduced to 30mph outside the gym on the road and 'loads of people have been getting caught out'.

She said: Warning speed camera alert. Cameras outside the gym on York Road are now turned on and the speed limit has temp 30 loads of people getting caught out despite it being 40 limit for years so be careful my son has been caught out with it."
