One email from the school to parents stated that last Friday, one of the pupils in Year 5 was walking home after school, when they were approached by a man and a woman who told the child he had dropped something, and beckoned him over.
"The child walked away and started to run home.” the email continued. “He was then chased further down the road."

"The man said he was there to pick him up and told him to get into the car. Thankfully as the child didn’t recognise the man, he ran away.
"Can we please ask all parents to discuss ‘stranger danger’ with their children, particularly older children who are permitted to walk home after school.”
