Leeds police hunt for suspects after two horses slashed with knife in Farnley paddock
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
It happened in Hall Lane, Farnley, between 10pm on Friday July 15 and 10am on Saturday July 16.
The horses were attacked with a knife in their paddock, leaving them with serious injuries.

Hide AdThe UK Animal Cruelty Files shared photos of the injuries and urged people with information to get in touch with the police.


In a statement issued on Facebook, the organisation said: “Horses slashed repeatedly with a knife by person(s) unknown.
"The nature of the wounds suggests that the intention was to kill the animals.
"One was found with a lace tied around her neck.
"If you have any information at all, please contact police on 101 quoting crime reference number.”

Hide AdAnimal lovers shared their horror at the pictures, with some reporting that their horses had come under similar attack.
One Facebook user said: “I absolutely despair with some so called humans. What makes them so cruel?”
While another added: “Just no words for these sick people how anyone can do this to any animal is beyond me. I hope these horses are ok.”
Police have launched a manhunt to find the suspects.
The West Yorkshire Police HorseWatch unit said: “Fortunately this type of crime is rare in the West Yorkshire area but if you have any information please get in touch.”
