Leeds pervert admitted voyeurism charges when he was caught filming underage girls after installing spycam in bathroom ceiling

Ronald Lowther rigged up the spycam when he was installing speakers in the bathroom at the property in Leeds.

Leeds Crown Court heard the 53-year-old streamed footage from the camera to an App on his mobile phone which provided him with live footage from the bathroom.

Michael Greenhalgh, prosecuting, said Lowther managed to use the technology to film two girls under the age of 16 using the bath.

The offending came to light when the images were seen on his mobile phone and police were contacted.

A file was also recovered from the device which contained images indicating he had committed the offence of exposure.

Further investigations revealed he had committed sex offences against girls.

Lowther, of Aston Road, Bramley, pleaded guilty to 11 sexual offences including two counts of voyeurism, observing a person doing a private act, taking indecent photographs of child, possessing indecent photographs of a child and exposure.

He also pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a girl under 13, engaging in sexual activity with a girl under 16, inciting a girl under 16 to engage in sexual activity and two counts engaging in sexual activity with a girl under 16.

A pre-sentence stated that Lowther had tried to "minimise" his offending and would benefit from attending a sex offender programme to address his behaviour.

Lowther was made the subject of a community order for two years, during which time he must attended 31 sessions of the Horizon accredited sex offender programme.

He must also complete 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and do 150 hours of unpaid work.
