Leeds man appears in court over cash in transit robbery at McColl's in Horsforth

A man has appeared  in court after being charged with the robbery of a security guard collecting cash at a convenience store in Leeds.

Daniel Rozycki, 29, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court today (Jan 20) after being charged with robbery in connection with the incident at McColl’s on Broadgate Lane, Horsforth, just after 12pm on Friday January 17.

Rozycki of Glensdale Road, Leeds, has also been charged with arson in relation to a fire involving a Nissan Qashqai in Regent Court, Horsforth, which occurred the same day, and two further counts of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a knife.

No pleas were indicated at today's hearing and Rozycki was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court at 9.30am on February 17.
