Leeds drug dealer locked up after police found cocaine, cannabis, mobile phones and cash at house in Middleton

A drug dealer who was involved in 'ring and bring' cocaine supply operation in south Leeds has been jailed.

Police officers seized drugs worth £1,500 along with £2,155 in cash after they forced their way into a house on Middleton Ring Road on February 17 this year.

Leeds Crown Court heard officers arrested Damien Morgan in an upstairs bedroom.

Charlotte Noddings, prosecuting, said officers seized 50 bags of cocaine from the property and found cash in a bedside table.

Cannabis and was also found along with three mobile phones.

Morgan was taken to a police station and claimed the drugs were for his own use when he was questioned.

The 28-year-old defendant then said he was storing the drugs for other criminals.

The messages referred to him delivering drugs to others.

The prosecutor said Morgan had been involved in the illegal operation for at least ten days up until he was arrested.

Morgan, of Broom Terrace, Belle Isle, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, supplying cocaine and cannabis and possession of cannabis.

He has previous convictions for possessing class A and B drugs.

Robin Frieze, mitigating, said Morgan pleaded guilty to the offences at an early stage.

Morgan was jailed for 28 months.

Judge Andrew Stubbs QC said: "You were part of a professional operation involved in the supply of drugs.

"You weren't the highest in the chain but you did play a significant role.

"This had been an operation that had been going on for some time involving you."
