A “vile” thug who threatened his own son and a convicted terrorist who robbed a shop with a hammer were also among those dealt with at Leeds Crown Court in the last seven days.
Below are the faces of some of those to be sentenced this week.
7. Lloyd Morris
A smirking pervert masturbated in front of a woman on a Leeds street less than a year after sexually assaulting two friends at Leeds train station. 35-year-old Lloyd Morris, who has previous sentences for sexually assaulting women, was found guilty after a trial of the sexual assaults and outraging public decency. Sentencing him to 18 months, Judge Andrew Stubbs KC said: “Yours is a life that is just being wasted, it is being lost to alcohol and drugs. It’s a really depressing and sad picture.

8. Shane Higgins
A “vile” thug threatened to kill his son if he testified against him in court, telling him: “I gave you life, I will enjoy taking it too.”
Shane Higgins sent the sickening voicemail in a bid to halt the young man from giving evidence in a trial. At Leeds Crown Court this week, it was heard that the unspecified trial never took place, but it was not known if his spiteful words caused it to collapse. Higgins was jailed for 42 months after admitting a string of offences, including the intimidation of his son as a witness. Photo: West Yorkshire Police
9. Jamie Anisko
A convicted Leeds terrorist robbed a shop armed with a hammer shortly after being released from a lengthy prison sentence. Jamie Anisko, 35, stole cash, cigarettes and alcohol from Westbourne Convenience Store in Otley after threatening the terrified store owner. He was previously jailed in 2009 for armed robbery and had his sentence extended for plotting numerous terrorist attacks while behind bars. For the latest robbery he was sentenced to five years and nine months behind bars, and another five years extended licence period. Photo: West Yorkshire Police
10. Shekar Bafri
A “truly disgusting” asylum-seeker threatened to rape and kill a female prison officer after spitting in her face. Shekar Bafri was being held in HMP Leeds for burgling a property in Leeds and stealing £1,000 worth of items. He became a nuisance prisoner and spit guards were regularly placed over his cell hatch because of his disdain for the officers. On three occasions he managed to remove the guard and spit in the face of officers. He tried to grab one female and made the rape and death threat, while he threatened to rape the mother of a male officer on separate occasion after spitting on him. He was jailed at Leeds Crown Court to three years and six months and told he would not be permitted to stay in the UK. Photo: West Yorkshire Police
