Leeds Crime Team catch 'most wanted' man after he tries to scale down building

Police in Leeds have caught the district's 'most wanted' man as he tried to escape by scaling down a building.

The man was at large wanted for more than 10 offences, including several burglaries and absconding from prison.

He was found following a joint operation between Leeds Outer East Neighborhood Policing Team (NPT) and the Leeds District Crime Team (DCT).

The man tried to escape from police officers by scaling down the fifth floor of a house, but was safely caught and arrested.

Leeds District Crime Team tweeted on Saturday: "YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE.

"District most wanted arrested in a joint operation between Outer East NPT and DCT for over 10 offences including several burglaries and absconding from prison.

"Male tried to escape by scaling wall from fifth floor however safely brought down and arrested."
