Mr Reed said Clarke had engaged with the probation service since his arrest and was willing to accept help to prevent him re-offending.

Clarke was given a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.

He was ordered to complete 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and do 100 hours of unpaid work.
