Eddison Flint, mitigating, said Barrett pleaded guilty to the offences at an early stage.
The barrister said: "He is extremely remorseful for his behaviour on that day."
Sentencing Barrett, Judge Simon Batiste said: "You have a terrible record of violence.
"It must make you feel a bag man headbutting a pregnant woman.
"The court takes the view that you showed yet again that you have no control of your temper and were prepared to use violence again."
