Huge police presence in Stanningley Park after allegations of rape made by "distressed female"
A large section of Stanningley Park has been cordoned off after a "distressed female" made an allegation of rape this morning, police said.
Police received a "concern for safety report" by the woman in a park close to Intake Lane, Stanningley shortly before 8am this morning.
A cordon is now in place across a section of the park.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At 7.48am today (Saturday), police received a concern for safety report relating to a distressed female in a park close to Intake Lane, Stanningley.
