Huge armed police presence near Seacroft Tesco after man is stabbed

Armed police descended on Seacroft last night (Thursday) after a man was stabbed.

The emergency services were called to North Parkway, close to the Tesco Extra, shortly after 9pm to reports of a stabbing.

York Road was blocked off as police swarmed the area, with the police helicopter also circling the area.

Officers found a 37-year-old man with injuries to his arm.

He was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

West Yorkshire Police said in a statement: "Officers are currently working to establish the full circumstances, however, it is believed to be an isolated incident and officers are pursuing positive lines of enquiry."
