North Yorkshire Police said that a member of the public had called to report the incident by the Buttersyke Bar roundabout at around 8.45am.
No injuries have yet been reported from the scene where two vehicles were involved.

Police are currently waiting for recovery assistance to move a BMW which is blocking the A61 southbound towards Leeds after a crash this morning (September 8).
