Harrogate murder victim named by police as Mark Wolsey as 23-year-old man is charged in connection with his death

Police have named a man found dead in Harrogate over the weekend and charged a 23-year-old man with his murder.

Mark Wolsey, 48, was found seriously injured inside a flat in the Mayfield Grove area of Harrogate, just after 10pm on Friday.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr Wolsey's family are currently being supported by specially trained officers.

Daniel Ainsley, 23, of Harrogate, has been charged with Mr Wolsey's murder.

He will appear at York Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.
