Four officers assaulted after police called to illegal gathering in Bramley tower block

Four police officers have been assaulted after they were called out to an illegal gathering in Leeds.

Police received reports of an incident at Poplar Mount Flats, Bramley, at 10.43pm on Friday February 5.

Officers discovered a small gathering of around 10 people, which was in breach of Covid-19 regulations.

Four officers were then assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

Four men were arrested at the scene and later charged with breaching Covid regulations.

Three of the men were also charged with assaulting an emergency worker.

All were released on bail to attend at Leeds Magistrates Court on April 22.
